Talent prep Inc now is offering Education Intern

Our programs: NYC Gifted and Talented Test Preparation, Mandarin Immersion, Language and Literacy development and many other enrichment courses.

Our mission: to educate children starting from their early years to help children become inquisitive learners, adaptive thinkers, and effective communicators. Through our carefully developed Personalized Curriculum Plan for each individual and notable small classes, we will proficient students, who are the directors and investors of their own learning, to further emphasize and master their own natural skills. We aim to enrich each student’s natural skills by providing them with different experiences through art, languages and exchanges of cultures

About the Position:
The instructor will work with students in pre-kindergarten to grade 5 at our language center, which is a play-based area. Sometimes, we offer private classes in students' home.  The instructor will usually work on weekdays from 2pm -- 6pm as a substitute instructor or teaching assistant. For private class, the instructor will go to the students' home and offer one hour private lesson about Mandarin or English tutoring.

Through Mandarin Immersion program, students are introduced to language through interactive instruction, cultural activities, music and games. The emphasis is on oral communication and learning about other cultures.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Helps students, individually and in groups, with creative and well integrated lesson plans
Communicates effectively with supervisors, parents, students and partner schools
Maintains quality results by following and enforcing standards

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Experience in foreign language teaching
Experience working with pre-school or elementary aged children
Experience working with students with diverse backgrounds
Excellent bilingual skills (Mandarin and English)
Success in incorporating creative, hands-on art and play based activities, as well as other co-operative learning activities.

Salary will be discussed after training.
