  We are a newly opened brunch cafe called High Tide in the heart of Flushing,Queens. High tide is the state of the tide when at its highest level. We do not compromise in quality, product and service. We are looking for baristas who are willing to step up and supervise/manage our fellow workers, someone who is excited to help us continue to build relationships in our queens community and set a standard of excellence our customers can count on. Experienced with coffee is encouraged but is not required. Some cashier work will be included as we believe a good rotation keeps our team well balanced, motivated and inspired. Staff meals are at a discount rate and the actual pay will be based on experience levels anywhere from $16-$18 and tips are an addition to the rate which will bump the number up.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to,

- Be passionate about hospitality

- Take pride in providing great customer service

- Know how to work hard while having fun

- Willing to learn all aspects of running a high quality café and artistic final products

- Have passion for latte art

- Love coffee and food

- Accurately and consistently preparing all of our beverage and food offerings.

- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills

- If guests are dining in, you may help in delivering beverages to guest tables

- Maintain work area and equipment to a high level of cleanliness

- Work well in the spotlight

Key areas of focus in this position will include working closely with the rest of the FOH team to create a unique culture, conversing with guests, educating yourself and the guests with exceptional coffee and managing the POS system. We prioritize a positive attitude, well structured working habit, and the desire and passion to work and grow with a dedicated team of quality driven baristas and cooks.
