帮朋友问下
How should I explain the "Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition..." on DS-160 while I have a I-130 filed and applying F-1?
具体信息:
I'm currently a F-1 student and will finish my MA program this coming May. I'm planning to go back to my home country for a few weeks after graduating and come back for OPT. Additionally, my mom, a PR, has filed I-130 for me last year.
I plan to renew my F-1 visa from Canada either in January or March. While filling DS-160, the "Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services? " came across. I feel like I should check "yes", but this means I have a tendency to stay in the US after my study ends. Which is usually a no-no for F-1 applicants.
They do ask for explanations, is there anything I can say that may help? How big is the risk for denial?
Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! 来自: iPhone客户端 |
