The Operations Specialist is responsible for the timely and accuratedelivery of air and ocean freight. A strong candidate will have the skill setto efficiently manage all inbound and outbound shipments and resolve any issuesthat may arise. This position requires an individual who has the desire anddrive to fully own their role and responsibilities in the Supply Chain processand e-Commerce business.

Responsibilities:
Manage import & export shipments from originto destination, prepare import documentation and ensure compliance with UnitedStates and China CustomsWork with freight forwarders, NVOCC’s,LTL/Truckload freight brokers, and steamship lines directly to obtain the bestservice and rates possible; representing company in a professional mannerOversee Shipping & Receiving process, ensuretimely delivery to different logistics centersImplement analytical methods and a variety oftools to understand, predict, improve and/or control Logistics operations andprocesses. Create KPI's around shipping, receiving andoperating process performance and prepare ad hoc reports as required byManagement. Performs analysis in support of requestedbusiness and systemic enhancements which will result in cost savings to thecompany. Track and identify root cause of adjustments and reduce unnecessarycosts.
Requirements:
1-2 years working in an international supplychain. Experience in Transportation and Operations, Project management isstrongly preferred.Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineeringand/or Business Administration. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Advancedexcel, basic SQL and C++ skills is a plusMust be a self-starter, detail oriented, able tosupport and lead multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills,work well with a team, interact with multiple levels and functions with theLogistics organization, and able to manage vendor/business relationships.Operates with minimal supervision and once givengeneral assignments, prioritizes and executes tasks.
