It’s a fun way to learn the English languageand understand more of the American culture. The structure of the course consists of six class hours a week. Participants will read articles on currentnews and events, listen to short podcasts, and watch videos in order to buildvocabulary and idiomatic expression. Inaddition, participants will be improving their conversation skills throughspeaking with each other and native speakers through short excursions aroundthe Edgewater neighborhood. Studentswill improve their confidence and be ready to face what comes ahead. In this course, students will:
- Improve listening comprehension and communication skills
- Build vocabulary and grammar skills
- Gain confidence and increase fluency in English
When and Where
The course is taught by a professor with over 15 years of experience. Classes are held in an intimate setting in an apartment in Edgewater near the Granville red line stop and the Glenlake stop of the 147 bus. The start date is September 21st, 2015 and it will run until December 9th, 2015. |
