之前等OPT用了近90天 朋友说OPT 结束后还有grace period？

如果 一月5号  拿到 ead 卡了，  opt 开始日期 比如是  一月三十号，

那  5号 到三十号 之间可以滚出去么

你的学生签证没有过期，因为那是当时给你读本科或者研究生的visa。可是你要转成OPT了，也就是说得用OPT的 ...

In addition to your passport, visa and signed I-20, it will be good to travel with your OPT receipt notice as proof that you have a pending OPT application with USCIS. hank you for checking with us--it's always good to ask us rather than consult Google, because each person's case involves different circumstances! It is okay to travel after program completion but before OPT approval, as long as you re-enter before your visa expiration. It would be risky to travel during this time, though, if you apply to renew your visa during this time.

opt  peding 期间 在  grace period  期间 能出去么

我 毕业了 就失去了学生身份。。。。。感觉  出去了就回不来了啊。。。。。 尤其是在grace  period了   


现在很混乱。。。。 google 了很多。。。。。  yes  no  都有

1. Yes, your grace period is what we spoke about in our last email, just not by name. I understand it's confusing to travel with an I-20 that looks expired (after the program end date), but page 2 of your new I-20 will show the OPT request, and your OPT receipt notice will be proof that you have an application pending with USCIS. So, this proof makes it okay to travel during this time. (USCIS will not abandon your OPT application if you travel abroad while it's pending.)

2. I have not heard of this happening--you should be fine. Students on OPT are allowed to have up to 90 days of unemployment, so you should not be penalized unless you have gone over that limit.

3. This is similar to the answer in question 1--it's strange to travel with an 'expired' I-20, but the OPT notation makes it okay! The I-20's program end date has to remain Dec. 2015, since that is when you finish your degree program.
