Dear XXX-XXX,
Thank you for contacting Chase about your account ending "0000".
When an authorized user is added to the account the account is automatically reported to his/her credit bureaus with or without the social security number. The address used for reporting the account is usually the primary address on file. Even though an authorized user never applies for the credit card account and is not responsible for the payments, the account and its payment history may still be recorded on his/her credit bureau report. But he/she will report as a non-liable party.
For the Authorized User, this account will be reported to the credit reporting agencies as an Authorized User's account. This may affect the Authorized User's credit score. Some lenders do take the credit history on an authorized user?s bureau into consideration when determining their eligibility but not all creditors do.
It was a pleasure assisting you today. If you have any further questions, please reply using the Secure Message Center.
Sincerely,
Sonia Srivastava Customer Service Specialist
