A fast growing Junior Fashion Clothing Company in LA is seeking for a qualified bi-lingual (English & Chinese) Product Developer with experience in both Creative and Technical Design for Knits, Wovens, and Denim Products.

‪‪POSITION OBJECTIVE:

‪‪This position is responsible for all aspects of the Product Development Process, which includes: trend research, presenting fresh new styles each season, flat sketching, creating detailed tech packs with technical design knowledge, fitting with design team, and providing detailed corrections for the factory to ensure each product is designed to meet customer's profile and business strategy for the brand. Also, the potential candidate must have experience in Knits, Wovens, as well as, Denim category.

‪PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Design Support

•   ‪‪Trend/Style/Color Research

•   Analyze Trend Reports

•   Design fresh new products for each season

•  ‪‪Collaborate with the Design team to develop color palettes, as well as, style direction for each season

•  Together with the Design team, meet with the Sales team to review and select styles for the season

•  Create line sheets

•   ‪‪‪‪Must be able to create flat sketches using Adobe Illustrator

•  Create tech packs with detailed illustrations and POM using Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel

•  Measure samples, conduct a fitting session for each style, and provide detailed comments for changes/corrections

•  Create a Graded Size Chart for each style when it is time for production

•  Check TOP and Production to make sure Fabric, Size Spec, and Construction is same as approved

•  Make sure Product Development is on track and in line with the Development Schedule

•  Create presentation materials for all milestone meetings and working sessions

‪QUALIFICATIONS:

‪‪Required

•   College degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or related field

•   ‪‪2-4 years minimum Product Development Experience

•   ‪‪Strong Computer Skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

•   ‪‪Strong Computer Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

•   Strong Technical Skills: Flat Sketching, Size Specs, Fitting with Detailed   Corrections, & Grading Knowledge

•   Thorough Knowledge of Garment Construction, Silhouette, Fabrications (Knits and Woven), Colors, and Trims

•   Team player (be able to help out your team if needed)

•   Have a sense for implementation and have innovative ideas

•   ‪‪Strong Organization, Time Management, and Communication Skills

•   Multi-Task

•   Time Sensitive (Meet Deadlines)

•   Open minded to possible changes in Process and Procedure

•   Be able to assess situations and problem solve quickly
