在美国呆满五年可以享受American Opportunity Credit么？

2009年来的美国 在美国已经f1呆够了五年了
glacier上面的test算自己已经是resident了
所以用turbotax报税
其中报学费税的时候出现了这个american opportunity credit一下子把我的refund增加了两千多
好恐慌 求大神指点一下
我享受了这个credit是合法的么 可以按照turbotax一步步来的么

嗯。Aoc只能claim本科的，你可以claim Hope credit. 不过要慎重用turbo tax, 不要claim不属于自己credit，特别你是F1。被irs缠上挺麻烦的。美国税是这样，有时候不是不查你，而是以后可能会查。。但是但是除非你这辈子不回来。

首先你可以报RESIDENT了。第二你满足下面条件吗？如果满足，你可以拿AMERICAN OPP CREDIT

Be pursuing a degree or other recognized education credential
Be enrolled at least half time for at least one academic period* beginning in the tax year
Not have finished the first four years of higher education at the beginning of the tax year
Not have claimed the AOTC or the former Hope credit for more than four tax years
Not have a felony drug conviction at the end of the tax year

HOPE CREDIT 和AOTC是一个东西，前者是老叫法，层主说的可能是life time learning credit
AOTC上限是2500，不过只有1000是refundable的，也就是说，没有欠税的话，你的credit只能拿到1000.
