下载电影被逮到

今天看邮箱来自自己的网络，发现收到了一封运营公司（charter）的邮件。说的是Notice of Copyright Infringement。
说是前段时间下的一部电影属于unauthorized，然后charter收到了电影公司的agent的DMCA notice。于是charter 又转发给了我。
我看了一下对方电影公司的agent，是个叫CEG TEK international 的公司（不知道有没有同学也遇到过类似情况？）。我在网上查了一下这家公司，好像很多人都收到过他们的这样的说是非法下载的邮件。然后CEG offer了我们一个settlement，说是如果现在付300刀给他们就可以避免以后进一步的法律动作，比如说上法庭起诉我。（到那时候就不是300刀能摆平的事了）。
我在网上又查了下，了解到现在CEG是不知道我的身份信息的，因为charter不能告诉他们我的个人信息除非他们申请法院传票要求charter透露我的个人信息。但是一旦我通过CEG的网站付了钱，用了我的信用卡，输入了我的各种信息，他们就都知道了。这样有可能他们会继续来找我（比如说另一部我下载的电影非法了，也要交钱，作为留学生的我们很多电影都是非法下载的T-T)。这样就成了无底洞了。而且google上搜的有人也说这个300刀的realse liability不一定真的能完全免除我的责任。 google上很多人都说这是copyright troll，或者类似于extortion,说不要理他们直接ignore.
但是网上的人也说有一定的可能性他们可以起诉我。实际上我搜到一个中文的帖子有位同学因为下了孤岛惊魂也是和我这样收到通知第一次没有理会，第二次被要求付3500刀的settlement fee。
所以我现在真的不知道该怎么办了。。。。求问哪位同学有过类似经历的或者懂法律的朋友能帮帮忙!!!
