Re: Request for a Bona Fide Marriage Exemption pursuant to 245.1(c)(9)(iii)(F), in connection with I-130 petition filed during proceedings.
Dear Sir/Madam:
I, (INSERT USC SPOUSE NAME), the petitioner and wife of my husband and beneficiary, (INSERT IMMIGRANT SPOUSE NAME), request to establish eligibility for the bona fide marriage exemption in connection with the I-130 petition submitted concurrently with the I-485 application. I was born in (INSERT PLACE AND DATE OF BIRTH) and am currently a U.S. Citizen. I have enclosed documents which show that we have entered into marriage in good faith and not for the sole purpose of obtaining immigrant benefits. In fact, we have two beautiful U.S. Citizen children together, (INSERT NAMES OF CHILDREN TOGETHER, IF ANY), and we will have enjoyed three years of marriage on (DATE). My husband, (INSERT IMMIGRANT SPOUSE NAME), entered this country as a student and then had to drop out due to an unexpected loss of funds. He and I met in (PLACE OF MEETING) while attending a concert with mutual friends. We met in 2007. We loved each other very much and decided to marry. (INSERT ANY OTHER FACTS THAT MAY SUPPORT A CLAIM OF BONA FIDE MARRIAGE).
Sincerely,
