Automatic visa revalidation allows most F-1 students to take a trip of less than 30 days to countries contiguous to the United States and reenter on an expired visa provided you have proper documentation and have not applied for a new visa during the visit. 现在F1过期，I20有效刚网上提交ds-160表，申请地点选择的是国内，准备年底回国续签F1，签证费未付。
但想感恩节去加拿大玩，我这情况AVE还算适用吗。

适用。你还没护照都还没到大使馆，所以你还不算申请了新签证。一般使馆会在你进去的时候在你旧签证上面写字或者盖章，就作废了
