We arefocusing on the 5 star type of listings now, because of our Chinese targettravelers, who usually spend $5000 to 7000 per trip.Sure they are looking forauthentic local flavor too, but on the trip they will stay at a good/greathotel, shop some luxury items, have a few good meals, and are seeking excitingentertainment and excursions. This would help us research 'must-see' places oftop US cities for Chinese travelers.

Testassignment instructions

We arecompiling new top 10 lists but they need web research done first. Basically wewant you to review 10-15 top 10 lists of the target list, and see which placesare most often mentioned, to make the top 10 list.

Thelists we'd like you to try are:

LasVegas’ Top 10 Most Popular Hotels

LasVegas’ Top 10 Malls

Top 10Places to be Entertained in San Francisco

Consideryour foreign travel - if you wanted to introduce the best places to a foreigntraveler that is willing to spend like USD 5000 on a trip, which places wouldbe the best fit?

We needyou to google research a top 10 list of travel locations (restaurants,shopping, attraction, hotels), from myriad lists, that we'll localize intoChinese. Attached are instructions and an xls that we suggest you use.

1.Google it! –

•Absolutely everything you are looking for has been compiled before.

•Search with the title or extract the key words of the top 10 list in yoursearch

2.Source 15-20 lists

• Inthe search results, look for a mix of top sites, City specific sites &“expert“ sites.

i. EGZagat.com, boston.com, nickthefoodie.com or eaters.com

3. Copy& Paste

• Placethe source URL & names in an excel spreadsheet (see example parts A&B),with source and the location names listed below.

• Goalis to be fast. Just verify the location names. DO NOT worry about address etc.now.

4.Clean them up and Line them up

• AFTERall your lists are compiled we have to clean up the lists, make them uniform& make things fair.

• Getrid of multiple location on a single list – perhaps a chain location is listedas best in 2-3 different locations. Only 1 name / source.

• Thencopy all names from different lists to ONE column (part C.), We need to seewhich places are listed most often.

• Getrid of #'s and spaces (goal is to be left with JUST the names)

•Alphabetize the results

5.Identify the most frequently listed (part D.)

• Fromthis, list according to frequency the top 10-15

6.Submit back to us for review

Letme know how many hours you need for this, but I'll start with a three houroffer at your listed rate, as we hope the research can be done 1 hour or so perlist. We hope you can start immediately. If it's a fit, we will have more workfollowing.
