BUYER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Buy and monitor assigned commodities
• Effectively communicate forecasted requirements to external suppliers
• Generate and adjust purchase orders and/or shop work orders to support production schedules
• Effectively communicate areas of concern to appropriate departments, individuals and/or suppliers
• Input, maintain, and adjust records in the system to maintain the most up to date information
• Interface with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Strategic Sourcing and Suppliers to resolve quality and/or delivery issues
• Resolve shipping discrepancies, invoice errors and coordinate adjustments on open shipment orders as necessary
• Actively participate in supplier quarterly business reviews
  

EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years purchasing experience
• Start up experience a plus
• Oracle experience strongly desired
• Familiar with Lean Manufacturing environment processes is a plus
