ACC 3100 is Financial Accounting II, ACC 3200 is Cost Accounting. I believe you can take both of them at the same time, but it might be very stressful for you because both 3100 and 3200 are very difficult.

For ACC 4100, you have to first pass all 3 courses, which are 3100, 3200, and 3202.

Give me the list of professor name, I might be able to tell you which professor is good.

Thank you for your reply. I took ACC 3202 last semester, and I am currently taking ACC 3100. I have heard many people ended up dropping one class when they took ACC 3100 and ACC 3200 together. But my situation is, I only have a few classes left, if I do not take ACC 3200 this semester, then I would not be able to take ACC 4100 next semester, (I might have to stay one more semester) I wonder if Baruch provide ACC 3200 during winter session, but I did not find it. The professors for ACC 3200 are Chen Li and Masako Darrough, they both have positive and negative reviews.

I see what you mean.
In general, people who take both 3100 and 3200 tend to drop one of the course to avoid low grade, so this is really up to you.

The two professor you mentioned, I didn’t take their class, so I cannot comment on which one is better. Use rate my professor website, and use your best judgement base on others comment.

Keep in mind, 3100 and 3200 require a lot of work, and is not going to be easy. Cost accounting sometime just need to miss one step, and everything else follow would be all wrong, so pay attention to every bit of details.

Thank you for your advice, I am not the top students, and I think I should not take the risk. Besides ACC 3200, I still have MGT 3121, ACC 4100, ACC 5400, and BPL 5000. May I ask how long will it take to finish all of these courses accourding to your experience? Thanks again!

3121 you should be able to take it along with any other ACC course
Also the BPL you can take it with one of the ACC course

So, ACC 3100 by itself, unless you have other elective.
ACC 3200 by itself.
MGT 3121 with ACC 4100
BPL 5000 with ACC 5400

I don’t know how you plan to take these courses, but I would look into Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. You are looking at roughly 1 1/2 years to 2 years to complete all these course assuming you try to get at least B or above.

Thanks！My course selection is kind of complicated, because I transferred credits from other colleges and I also took some online courses. I will look into that and try to decide what I can manage it the best way. 谢谢！

Is normal. I was a transfer student back then too, so I understand.

For your information, you can qualify to take CPA with bachelor degree with 150 credits, as long as you fulfill all required accounting course.

This is a good solution. If I have 150 credits, then I do not have to do a MS. It is the best way to minimize the time I have to spend. I would talk to the advisor to see what courses I can take as long as the advisement opens.

Advisor might not be willing to tell you the solution. I know for a fact that you can take an advanced Taxation course at Hunter college, and you might have to apply through e-permit or something like that. This way, you will satisfy all 150 credits , and take any other course to make up the difference of the credit you are short of.
