American Sunion is a startup located at Princeton, NJ looking to disrupt the financial technology industry. We’re on a mission to automate the spending and expense reporting process, enabling companies and individuals to have more control, greater convenience, and increased security when distributing funds. With our product, keeping receipts, asking for reimbursement, and spending wastefully are things of the past. Our web and mobile applications enable our users to take proactive control of their money.
Who We’re Looking For
We're currently looking for a personable, passionate, and ambitious Business Development/Senior Sales Executive focusing on new business to join our growing company. Within this role, your highest priority will be to drive new business growth by executing all aspects of the direct sales process, including lead generation, opportunity development, deal closure, contract negotiation, and client satisfaction. The role will have a direct impact on the growth of the organization as we continue to evolve as a premier provider and scale the commercial organization.
Job Descriptins Job Title: Business Developments/Sales
Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manage a sales pipeline from the qualification of a lead through the close and execution of the contract
  • Research and identify new client opportunities while managing your own pipeline
  • Engage with prospects to articulate our products' value proposition
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demos to executive level decision makers
  • Grow a book of business across buy-side, including private equity funds, mutual funds, life insurance companies, unit trusts, hedge funds, and pension funds
  • Meet and exceed all revenue goals and targets
  • Plan and implement focus groups with clients and drive brand awareness
  • Develop lasting account relationships and while delivering the highest level of client satisfaction
  • Align closely with product management concerning the latest features and versions
  • Schedule demos for the Account Executive
  • Manage a variety of leads source including list management and cold calling
  • Identify sales opportunities through direct prospecting, lead follow up, networking and partner relationships.
  • Manage sales process through qualification, scheduling Demo
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of our products and services.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the territory, marketplace, competitive offerings and other business issues relevant to the position.
  • Use effective time management to maximize results.
  • Document daily sales activities in sales force automation tool, prepare accurate reports and forecasts
Required Qualifications:
  • 3-7 years of relevant institutional sales experience across the buy-side
  • Working knowledge of portfolio management, analysis of the industry and financial markets
  • Successful track record of managing deals from inception to close
  • Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding sales objectives
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and monetize opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Experience giving face-to-face presentations to high-level decision makers
  • A team player with strong relationship and networking skills
  • Enthusiasm, desire and a strong sense of initiative
  • Excellent communication (written/oral), presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel 25-50%
  • Independently driven with a strong work ethic
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics/Finance; MBA a plus
