American Sunion is a startup located at Princeton, NJ looking to disrupt the financial technology industry. We’re on a mission to automate the spending and expense reporting process, enabling companies and individuals to have more control, greater convenience, and increased security when distributing funds. With our product, keeping receipts, asking for reimbursement, and spending wastefully are things of the past. Our web and mobile applications enable our users to take proactive control of their money.

Who We’re Looking For

Our Financial Technology Conpamy is expanding and looking for highly motivated and multi-talented web designer individuals to join the team.

Job Descriptins Job Title: Web Designer

Responsibilities:

·       Creating user-centered storyboards, prototypes and wireframes for our responsive web applications, utilizing market analysis, user research and customer feedback

·       Researching design requests by considering the request itself, data both known and unknown, and industry trends.

·       Participating in collaborative design sessions with multiple stakeholder roles and or team members.

·       Presenting design work in a concise, collaborative manner to stakeholders and UI/UX team members.

·       Requirements:

·       0-2 years of UI Design experience in a corporate or agency context

·       Experience using a range of technical software including Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator to produce high quality design

·       Utilizing visual design trends and multi-device (responsive) layouts to deliver user interfaces that provide the best user experience possible.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

• Create graphics, banners, landing pages, and web sites
• Design and maintenance of existing and new websites
• Create user interfaces, and comp designs
• Create responsive designs for desktop, tablet and mobile phone devices
• Design layout and templates for maximum usability and focus on user experience
• Create user interfaces, using front-end code in HTML, CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript to interface with backend code
• Use of advanced CSS techniques for responsive design / problem solving is a plus
• Use web-based content management system in order to edit/create pages, assist partner departments with adding/editing content in the CMS.
• Provide design advice on projects, make recommendations for improving web sites
• Work with web developers to apply style and user interface design to web applications
• Create HTML-based Email templates for marketing email blasts.
  

Skills and Experience required:

Experience with HTML, CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript

• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Experience with WordPress is required
• Experience with Kentico CMS is a plus.
• Self-directed and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree preferred, Master is a plus.
• Exceptional organizational ability
• Ability to speak and listen to non designers to ascertain client needs
• Self motivated personality
• Ability to creatively problem solve, while staying on brand
• Have professional experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Keen eye for design
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent communication skills
• Eager to learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
