IT Support Technician

BV has been established as an e-commerce sales and distribution center in Chicago area. We provide variety and quality product lines in Network, CCTV Camera and Security Systems. Our goal is to provide responsive and satisfied service to customers and maintain the rapid growing while building up more product lines.

The IT Support Technician will be responsible for supporting users who are experiencing difficulties with their security surveillance systems and devices. The position will troubleshoot technical issues over the phone, or from a remote with users.

Responsibilities:

·      Utilize IT helpdesk ticket system to effectively prioritize and remediate issues and concerns.

·      Communicate customer concerns and recommend equipment to our development and engineering staff.

·      Proactively identify and assist in technology opportunities for upgrades and implement new solutions

·      Solve technical issues by forwarding ports, fixing IP conflicts, configuring electronic devices and recovering systems.

·      Create and maintain documentation of IT processes and problem resolution details

·      Maintain adequate knowledge of existing hardware and software

·      Maintain current knowledge of relevant product offerings and support policies in order to provide accurate solutions to clients.

·      Setup computers and install desktop software applications, and test network connections to ensure proper functioning of security camera systems.

Qualifications:

·      Associate or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related fields.

·      Experience working in a customer service capacity preferred

·      Able to rapidly learn our software and demonstrate competence with new technologies/software applications.

·      Strong documentation, organizational and communication skills.

·      Excellent problem-solving skills and strong customer service skills.

·      Familiar with Database SQL knowledge is a plus.
