++++ AMBIANCE ++++
This is an open air market, the produce is mostly outside and the indoor section is small and tight.
++++ PRODUCTS ++++
This place has a lot of produce that is nicer and cheaper than big name grocery stores like Lucky, Safeway, and Raley's. Yes, some of the produce can be sketchy but you gotta pick through it. Yes, some of the produce has comparable prices, but you can still find amazing deals! Go here if you're open to what you might get rather than if you have a strict list. You will be surprised by what you find! They have different varieties of fruit, too!
I love that they have these funny shaped kiwis and both American and Japanese eggplant for sale
They sell ACME bread, my European friends refuse to eat any other bread, so finding a vendor that sells it is great!
They also had some Middle Eastern goods like Sadaf brand herbs and Ahmad teas and lots of tahinis. They also have a lot of Eastern European products.
++++ SERVICE ++++
I don't know why there are such bad reviews about customer service, I only had good experiences. The staff were friendly and asked me if I was looking for something specific and pointed me to it.

I just moved into the area and I love this mom and pop shop. Let's go and support local businesses!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 1 - S T.Cupertino, CA010Mar 23, 2024
Check your receipt on the spot, before leaving the store. They charged me "organic cauliflower" twice, even though I bought only one. It's not even twice charged one after the other it's at beginning of the bill and after few items it's showing again "organic cauliflower"! No idea how that was done! but I paid twice!
Unfortunately I didn't check right away the bill.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 4, 2022
Fruit flies galore! I know that fruit flies are bound to happen. But walking into this store I was overwhelmed by them. I completed my shopping as I needed the ingredients for a meal. But will definitely plan to go elsewhere after this trip.
As a side note, the fruits and veg I get from here only seem to be good for a day or two.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Stephen K.Colorado Springs, CO102037Oct 22, 2022
Every time I go there mold and rot is to be expected . Blueberries that initially look good hours later find mold on them. Its even visible in there displayed produce

Let's be honest, the produce here definitely beats Safeway and or Lucky's! The service is hit or miss but for the great prices I can give 2 's if they happy or mad. The items on the shelves near the cash registers look like it's been there for as long as the store has been opened. The first stall has a spider mummy.

Fun place to shop for vegetables and fruit. I really like this small store. It reminds me of the small stores that used to exist throughout the country a few decades ago before the large grocery stores came to dominate.
Oakmont Produce Market carries every conceivable fruit and vegetable product that I purchase. The prices are reasonable - some a little below big supermarkets, some at the same price, and some a little above. I particularly find their oranges, tomatoes, and cherries to have superior taste compared to the big grocery stores. Oakmont also sells cheeses, breads, pastries, and various other products.
The employees are cordial.
Oakmont Produce cannot be seen from the street. It is tucked in a tiny shopping center at Homestead and Blaney in Cupertino very close to Sunnyvale. Plenty of free parking.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sabrina R.West San Jose, San Jose, CA023Jun 26, 2022
Everytime when I go to this market I find rotten vegetables or outdated spreads in jars. Several time I notified their workers. Still the situation is the same. Try to check exp dates just in case

Open during covid. Small space here so please wear your mask. Great variety of fresh fruits, veggies, and other groceries. Many persian items as well here. I specifically come here for their mini Japanese yams. I love to bake them and eat them like cake :).

This place is a wonderful place to go for fresh fruits and vegetables! Surrounding us are chains of Safeways, Ranch 99s, and Trader Joes so it's a breath of fresh air to see a local market.
It's not the cleanest place- it does not look like a Safewhere where all the fruits look perfect and in order. But that's what I like about this place, every fruit seems more fresh and has a strong fruit smell. I love walking here in the spring and summer because the fruit smell is quite strong! It's a sweet pleasant smell that you can never get at big chain supermarkets.
I enjoy getting seasonal fruits here but always stock up on my bananas and apples no matter what. The inside is quite cramped- they literally cram as much items as they can inside so if there are a lot of people it might be hard to get around. There seems to be a lot of items that aren't sold elsewhere so it is quite fun to try new things! The cashiers are in the middle- they don't always greet you but they are efficient in checking out your items.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0
